Quizizz Rebrands As AI-Driven “Wayground”

Quizizz has evolved into Wayground, a “supplemental learning platform” built to support every student in a group setting. Its new domain address is https://wayground.com/.

Quizizz says that the product “you know and love” will remain fundamentally the same. However, AI enhancements are driving its evolution into a more diverse learning platform. Indeed, Wayground describes itself as “an AI-Supported hub” whose goal is to offer “flexible resources for instruction, practice, and assessment.”

Wayground has introduced several new features for the upcoming school year:

  1. Standards Alignment and curriculum mapping to find exactly what you need more quickly.

  2. Expanded student accommodations and modifications across different resource types, like video and slides.

  3. Bundling complementary resources together so teachers can plan more quickly, and students don’t have to join sessions separately.

  4. Flexible AI generation that lets you upload a single static resource and then choose multiple resource formats to generate and review.

  5. VoyageMath, a middle school math supplemental program that supports teachers in providing individualized feedback and instruction.

Wayground hopes its AI can complement the ability of teachers to make adjustments that help each student find their way.

Tom’s Take: Quizz is an excellent product and I am excited to see the new AI-driven resources available this fall, especially VoyageMath. It’s also one of the first edtech products to receive a privacy seal from Common Sense Media.
